Programme Description
Keeping Safe is an interactive game show suitable for all primary school ages. The aim of the programme is to engage every child to take responsibility for their own safety, helping to keep others safe, measuring risk and taking appropriate action.
Live Wire Productions aims to empower children with the confidence to speak out without fear of retribution, and thus help each other and work together to make a safer school. Throughout the performance the children are encouraged to make Sammy Safe and Sophie Sound aware if they are taking any risks. In addition, the children explore consequences of people’s actions and the effect they have on others safety. The children use their existing knowledge and skills whilst actively engaged in real or simulated safety tasks.
The versatility and interactive nature of the Safety Wheel of Science provides an excellent exhibition piece achieving a strong educational impact efficiently and effectively in a short space of time making it ideal as a festival theatre piece.
