(Aberdeen, 24 th November 2005) Following a search by children attending the 'Little Horrors' Halloween event at Haddo House, Aladdin's lamp was finally recovered by a member of the Live Wire Productions team in time for pantomime.
Director Alistair Harvey said, 'It was a great relief to find the missing lamp. It's been with the company for almost 20 years at Haddo House Hall and Aladdin just wouldn't be the same without it!'
Since rescuing the pantomime in 2003, Live Wire Productions has stuck with Haddo's rule of only performing traditional pantomimes rather than the more modern shows we often see today. Live Wire's Managing Director, Vanessa Chew, says, "We've been delighted with the support the Haddo Pantomime has received from the public over the years. We've performed to many a full house over the last two panto seasons and 2005 is filling up fast. I believe the public really appreciate our traditional approach. At Haddo, audiences are guaranteed stacks of songs and lots of laughs!"

Notes to Editors:
1. Live Wire Productions (est 1994), an award winning Aberdeen based Theatre in Education company, is a unique resource for schools, the community and organisations seeking to improve understanding and assist in changing attitudes through drama, reaching audiences of over 15,000 last year alone.
2. There are stacks of superstitions in the pantomime world, including:
The fairy must always enter from the right.
The pantomime villain always enters from the left - and comes onto the stage before the fairy.
During rehearsals, the last line of the pantomime is never spoken.
It's bad luck to whistle in the dressing room.
