Aberdeen-based theatre in education company, Live Wire Productions, is celebrating a successful week of touring local primary schools with its show The Wooden Wheel of Science.

The production has been developed for National Science Week with funding from Aberdeen City Council's Home Energy Department. Presented by a couple of playful woodland gnomes, the show is a fun, interactive challenge, which asks young audiences to spin the wheel and answer questions in the theme of energy conservation, trees and the environment.

To round off the week, the Live Wire team performed the show at a Science Discovery Day at Aberdeen's Satrosphere to celebrate National Science Week. They presented four environmental shows on different themes, including renewable energy, waste and recycling.

Vanessa Chew, of Live Wire Productions, said: “We are delighted to add the Wooden Wheel of Science to our repertoire. After such a successful week, I am sure it will prove to be a valuable resource to primary schools.
