The dangers of drugs have been spelled out to Aberdeen youngsters this week.
Live Wire Productions toured city schools with its message.
Six primary schools were visited by the new Drugs Wheel of Science Show.
It encouraged P5 classes to explore the potential dangers of both legal and illegal drugs.
The show focused on the effects of various substances on both the body and behaviour. Everyday substances such as air freshener and energy drinks were also looked at.
The production was developed with money from Aberdeen City Council Drug Strategy Initiatives Fund and in consultation with Grampian Police.
The Drug Wheel of Science is a game show led by two mischievous characters – Ali and Nic – representing alcohol and nicotine.
Eager young audiences took turns to spin the wheel and answer questions about food, medicines, alcohol, volatile substances and smoking.
Vanessa Chew, of Live Wire Productions, said: “Everyday substances and legal drugs and often considered safe and this show provides an ideal opportunity for schools to present children with the facts through drama and fun.
“We are also very grateful to Grampian Police for their invaluable help in developing the programme.”
Sandra Brown, education adviser to Grampian Police, said: “This is an excellent interactive show where the pupils learn in a fun way important information about drugs as part of their drugs education programme.”
